What Water Mist Fire Suppression System Solves?
The PRI-SAFETY multi-zone high pressure water mist pump system is designed for industrial buildings and critical equipment rooms where a central pump unit can serve several protected areas. Rather than selecting equipment from room volume alone, the final configuration is developed from the fire hazard, simultaneous demand, nozzle layout, pipe route and required control sequence.
During standby, the open-nozzle distribution pipe can remain dry. When the confirmed fire detection logic sends a release command, the corresponding zone valve opens and the pump set supplies water to every nozzle assigned to that zone. A multi-zone arrangement can reduce duplicated equipment, but the pump capacity and water reserve must be verified by hydraulic calculation.
Large or separated protection areas often need more than a stand-alone cylinder bank. A pump-driven arrangement provides a stable water source for longer discharge and allows the designer to divide the project into practical zones. It is especially useful when access, room layout, cable routes or equipment arrangement make one common discharge area unsuitable.
The system can be prepared for new construction or evaluated for retrofit projects. PRI-SAFETY supports equipment selection, hydraulic calculation, CAD layout, technical documents, manufacturing, factory inspection, installation guidance and commissioning assistance according to the confirmed supply scope.

Key Components
A typical system includes:

Water storage tank
Zone control valve cabinet
Transfer pump
Stainless steel high pressure piping
High pressure water mist pump skid
Open water mist nozzles
Duty/standby pump control cabinet
Fire detection and fire alarm system
Pressure indication, safety valve, check valve and test/discharge fittings as confirmed in the design

How Water Mist Fire Suppression System Works
Detectors and the fire alarm system identify a confirmed event according to the approved cause-and-effect logic.
The controller issues alarm and interlock commands, then opens the selected zone valve.
The duty pump starts and supplies pressurized water through the zone pipework.
All open nozzles assigned to that zone discharge a fine spray pattern. The droplets absorb heat, form water vapor near the flame and reduce radiant heat transfer.
If the duty pump cannot maintain the required condition, the standby arrangement operates according to the approved control logic.

Technical Parameters for Water Mist Nozzles
1. Technical Parameters for Closed Type Water Mist Nozzle

Closed high pressure water mist nozzle:
The closed water mist nozzle is made of austenitic stainless steel and consists of a shell, a nozzle, a temperature-sensitive glass ball, etc. Its core component is a plurality of centrifugal nozzles installed on the conical surface of the shell. The atomization mechanism is to utilize the rotating liquid produced by the swirling parts in the nozzle to accelerate and eject the hollow diffusion cone-shaped liquid film through the outlet channel, and use the speed difference between the liquid and the outside air to break up and atomize.

System Options & Model Selection
The system is available with different models.

Why Choose Pump Water Mist System?
Choose a pump-driven system when protecting large areas, multiple rooms or facilities requiring long-term operation.
- Suitable for large or multi-zone projects
- Uses a water tank or reliable water supply
- Supports multiple section valves and protection zones
- Provides stable pressure and continuous water delivery
- Easy to reset and reuse after discharge
- Ideal for data centers, generator rooms, factories, tunnels and other fixed facilities
Why Choose Cylinder Water Mist System?
Choose a cylinder-driven system when space, water supply or installation conditions are limited.
- Does not require a pump set or permanent water supply
- Compact structure with a smaller installation footprint
- Faster and simpler to install
- Suitable for remote sites or small enclosed areas
- Requires less piping and supporting equipment
- Ideal for electrical rooms, machinery spaces, storage rooms and localized hazards

In Short: the pump-set type is suitable for large-scale, multi-zone projects requiring long-term operation, while the gas-cylinder type is suited for small, standalone areas that lack a fixed water source or have limited installation space.
Ideal For Protecting
Engineering Note: High-pressure water mist is a project-designed fire suppression solution. The final system configuration must be determined according to the actual hazard, room dimensions, fire load, ventilation, drainage, applicable standards and approval requirements. Electrical rooms and energy storage facilities require additional technical review before application.

Our Service for Water Mist Fire Suppression System
Engineering and Model Selection
Pump quantity cannot be selected only by floor area. PRI-SAFETY first reviews the protected dimensions, ceiling height, hazard location, obstructions, ventilation, operating temperature, available power, water supply, pipe route and the required standard. The design then confirms the nozzle type, K-factor, nozzle count, simultaneous zones, pipe sizes, pump duty point and water-storage capacity.
Zone valve sizes shown in the catalog include DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32 and DN40. The correct valve and pipe diameter are determined by the calculated flow and allowable pressure loss, not by a universal distance rule.
Installation and Technical Support
PRI-SAFETY can provide the equipment layout, hydraulic calculation, nozzle and piping arrangement, interface list, installation instructions and commissioning support within the agreed scope. Local installers should follow the approved drawings and applicable local rules. Site acceptance, authority approval and third-party certification remain subject to the project contract.
Manufacturing and Quality Control
The confirmed pump skid, valve cabinets and system accessories are manufactured against the approved bill of materials and drawings. Inspection can include appearance, dimensions, pressure/leakage checks and functional checks applicable to the supplied equipment. Test scope and witness requirements should be agreed before production.
Packing and Shipping
Pump skids and cabinets are protected for export handling. Nozzles, valves and instruments are individually packed and identified against the packing list. Large tanks and skids may require separate packing and container planning. Shipping terms, dangerous-goods status of any pressurized items and destination documentation are confirmed for each order.
OEM and Project Customization
Skid flow, number of duty pumps, valve zones, cabinet arrangement, tank capacity, control interfaces and documentation package can be evaluated for the project. OEM labeling is available after the technical configuration and order requirements are confirmed.
