Products Description
Why use Automatic Fire Suppression System for Electric Panel?
The PRI-SAFETY Electric Panel Automatic Fire Suppression System is an innovative, self-contained fire protection solution designed specifically for electrical equipment and E-class fires. Utilizing a pneumatic detection tube that bursts upon contact with heat or flame, the system activates instantly without the need for external power or human intervention.
Ideal for use in electric panels, control cabinets, battery compartments, and electrical rooms, this system releases a clean gas extinguishing agent (HFC-227ea/FM200, or Novec1230/FK-5112) to suppress fires within seconds, minimizing damage to critical assets and ensuring operational continuity.
Available in both Direct and Indirect types, with capacities from 1KG to 50KG, the system can be customized to fit various protection volumes and temperature requirements. It is engineered for easy installation, reliability, and compliance with international safety standards.

1. Direct Type automatic fire suppression systems
In the Direct Type system, the pressurized detection tube is also the discharge tube. It is routed directly through the protected risk area (e.g., inside an electric panel). When fire impinges on any point of the tube, it bursts at that point, causing a pressure drop that activates the cylinder valve. The extinguishing agent is then released directly through the same burst tube, targeting the fire at its source.
Direct Type System Workflow:
1. Detection & Activation: The red, pressurized detection tube (φ6mm) is installed directly within the protected compartment (e.g., an electric panel). When a fire starts, the heat causes the tube to burst at the hottest point. The sudden loss of pressure inside the tube is the triggering mechanism.
2. Agent Release: This pressure drop instantly activates the valve on the extinguisher cylinder. The extinguishing agent is released directly through the burst section of the same tube, applying the agent precisely at the source of the fire.
3. Fire Suppression & Alarm (Optional): The clean agent (HFC-227ea/FK-5112) floods the enclosed space, suppressing the fire within seconds without damaging sensitive electronic equipment. The system can be integrated with an optional fire alarm panel to provide remote notification.

2. Indirect Type automatic fire suppression systems
The Indirect Type system separates the detection line from the discharge network. A small-diameter detection tube (φ6mm) is routed through the risk area. When it bursts due to heat, it triggers a pilot valve on the main cylinder. The extinguishing agent is then released through a separate discharge pipe (φ16mm or φ20mm SUS304) and directed via nozzles strategically placed in the protected zone.
Indirect Type System Workflow:
1. Detection: The separate, dedicated detection tube (φ6mm) is snaked through the entire risk area (e.g., an entire battery room or multiple cabinets). Upon exposure to heat, it bursts at the point of origin.
2. Valve Triggering: The pressure drop in the detection tube acts on a pilot valve on the main agent cylinder, causing it to open.
3. Discharge: The extinguishing agent is released through a separate, robust discharge pipe network (φ16mm/20mm SUS304) and is distributed through strategically placed nozzles. This ensures even and complete coverage of the entire protected volume.
4. Fire Suppression & Alarm (Optional): The agent is discharged uniformly, rapidly suppressing the fire. The system can be integrated with an optional fire alarm panel to provide remote notification.

![]() |
![]() |
| Principle | Detection tubeisthe discharge tube | Separatedetection tube and discharge pipe |
| Best For | Single, sealed enclosures | Larger volumes, multiple compartments, complex layouts |
| Coverage | Localized, point-of-origin suppression | Widespread, total flooding application |
| Installation | Very simple, minimal components | More complex, requires nozzle placement & pipe routing |
| Cost-Effectiveness | Highly cost-effective for single units | Ideal for larger, centralized protection |
| Agent Delivery | Directly through burst hole in tube | Through dedicated nozzles for even distribution |
From the above comparison:
Choose DIRECT TYPE if:
You need a simple, self-contained system for a single, compact enclosure where the fire risk is localized.
Choose INDIRECT TYPE if:
You are protecting a larger room or multiple compartments, and need a centralized cylinder with distributed nozzles for full coverage.
