Products Description

PRI-SAFETY Wet Chemical Mechanical Kitchen Fire Suppression system has been specifically designed to protect home/commercial kitchen and put out cooking fires caused by grease orgrease-laden vapors (class F or class K fire) quickly and efficiently.
When a fire occurs in a protected area, it is quickly detected by the sensors the cooker appliance hood. The detectors trigger the automatic releasing mechanism which actuates the system - pressuring the agent storage tank and automatically shutting off the appliance energy.

Working Principle

Step 1: When a deep fryer or griddle fire in a commercial kitchen causes the exhaust hood to reach temperatures of 185°C (625°F), the high temperature melts the fusible link in the detection wire directly above the fire. Because the fusible link is under tension, it breaks.
Step 2: The breaking of the fusible link releases the tension in the detection wire. This action: pulls a lever or releases a spring-loaded valve on a pressurized gas cylinder.
The valve ruptures the seal on the cylinder, releasing the high-pressure gas.

Step 3: The released gas rushes into the fire extinguishing agent tank, generating tremendous pressure that forces the wet powder fire extinguishing agent out of the tank.
Step 4: The fire extinguishing agent is then discharged through a network of pipes and nozzles specifically designed for the cooking appliances and exhaust hoods/ducts.
